Easier to print than ABS, dissolvable in D-limonene
HIPS (Hi-Impact PolyStyrene) Is a thermoplastic based on petroleum with a lot of resemblance to ABS. This means HIPS is also a very strong material that is highly weather-resistant. HIPS does have lower shrinkage and better layer bonding. It also a very good support material because it completely dissolves in D-limonene. It's the perfect support material for ABS.
